Our story
From Ho Chi Minh City, for professionals going global
NativeX is a small team in Ho Chi Minh City building language practice for Vietnamese professionals. We started with a frustration, knowing what to write but not what to say when the pressure was on.
Why we built it
When classroom English is no longer enough
In 2025, Lý Ngọc Trang founded NativeX after years building language products for Vietnamese professionals. Her research and product work kept revealing the same gap, people could write the right words but struggled to say them under pressure.
That gap is not solved by memorizing more phrases. It takes practice that reflects real conversations, with feedback on the patterns that keep getting in the way.
NativeX closes that gap through daily conversations, remembers the error patterns you make, and lets you rehearse specific scenarios, from quarterly reviews to handover calls and escalation conversations. This is not grammar practice or flashcards. It is the real thing, practiced until it no longer feels like a risk.
The team
Three people, one problem worth solving
Trang has spent years building language products for Vietnamese professionals, combining user research with product strategy. She kept seeing the gap between what people could write and what they could say under pressure.
Minh builds NLP systems for Southeast Asian language pairs and conversational AI architecture. He designed the error-tracking layer that classifies, schedules, and brings patterns back for practice.
Anh Thu is an applied linguist who designed workplace language curricula for adult professionals entering international roles. She sets NativeX session flow, feedback structure, error categories, and proficiency pacing.
What we believe
Three things we will not compromise on
Practice over memorization
Knowing a phrase is different from using it in a live conversation. NativeX puts repeated, relevant practice first, so language becomes something you can reach for when the moment demands it.
Honest feedback over empty encouragement
Encouragement has its place, but vague praise cannot show you what to fix. Feedback should identify the pattern, explain what happened, and give you a clear way to practice it again.
Your job before generic fluency
Language practice should follow the conversations your work requires. We focus on the situations, mistakes, and progress that matter to your role, rather than treating fluency as one generic destination.
