Pilot Cohort Data

What we have measured from 42 learners

These are early-stage observations from a bootstrapped pilot, not a controlled study. We are reporting them honestly because we think they are meaningful, not because they are definitive.

87% reported higher workplace readiness

This is self-reported data from a small pilot, measured through learners' own workplace English readiness ratings. In our initial 42-learner pilot program, 87% reported a substantial increase after eight weeks.

We also track how much active speaking time learners get during each session.

average minutes of active speaking per 25-minute session in the current cohort
~4x
more speaking time per session compared to a typical group language class

What participants report after eight weeks

We asked cohort members to describe the most specific change they noticed. These are representative responses from the current intake.

"The sessions kept returning to the same few things I was doing wrong: dropping articles, using 'but' as a connector when I should be acknowledging first. By week five I started noticing when I was about to make the mistake before I made it. That felt different from anything a class had done."

"I used to mentally translate before I spoke. It would cause a half-second pause that made me look uncertain even when I was confident in the content. After three weeks of sessions that specifically targeted fluency under time pressure, the pause started to disappear."

Analyst transitioning to a finance role requiring daily English client contact. Pilot cohort, intake Q3 2025.

"What I did not expect was how much the scenario specificity mattered. I was preparing for project management meetings specifically. Every session was about that kind of conversation, not generic English practice. My first real status call after the program felt like something I had already rehearsed."

How we measured this

1
What we measured
Learners self-reported workplace English readiness on a 1-to-5 scale at week 0 and week 8. The change between those scores was the outcome.
2
Who responded
42 adult learners responded. All were in or preparing for English-medium professional roles when they enrolled.
3
What "significantly improved" means
It means a self-assessed increase of 2 or more points on the 5-point scale between the week-0 and week-8 surveys.

This was a 42-participant pilot, not a controlled study, and the result is not statistically significant in a clinical sense. We report it because the pattern is meaningful to our team at this scale, while keeping the limits clear.
